Ashley’s Reading List

“Quiet” by Susan Cain

Susan Cain literally wrote the book on introversion. She dives deep into the psychology and science of introversion. This was the book that first educated me on the topic and helped me realize I am an introvert! If you’re looking for an in-depth overview, this is where to start.

“The Introvert Entrepreneur” by Beth Buelow

When I read this book, I kicked myself for not writing it first! While not about real estate specifically, “The Introvert Entrepreneur” is an amazing guide for introverts starting their own businesses. Beth provides real, actionable tips that make starting a businesses as an introvert much less intimidating.

“Success With Just Listed & Just Sold Postcards” by Janine Sasso

Click here to purchase from Amazon

A tactical, practical guide to using just listed and just sold postcards to grow your business. It includes 75 templates you can use, too. Janine is a friend of mine who’s built her business using mailers, and this book is an excellent guide for any agent looking to implement a proven system for lead gen (one that doesn’t involve cold calling!)

“The One Thing” by Gary Keller

While Gary Keller is one of the founders of Keller Williams Realty, this book is not about real estate. It is the best productivity book out there, in my opinion. In this thoroughly researched book, Gary teaches us that we can only do one thing at a time in every moment of each day. Multi-tasking is a myth. You’ll learn the important, clarifying question to ask yourself each day: “What is the one thing I can do that would make everything else easier or unnecessary?” A must read!

“The Power of Habit” by Charles Duhigg

This book and “Active Choices” could be read together. Most of what we do each day is not a conscious decision or choice - it’s habits. Humans are programmed to operate on habits, yet we do have the power to change those habits. Charles gives many powerful examples of people who have made life-changing shifts in their habits. Very good book for taking control of the habits in your life and improving them.

“Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill

Mindset is extremely important, and Napoleon Hill’s book is the ultimate resource for creating a positive mindset around wealth. It’s not about creating wealth for its own sake; rather, it’s about what good you can do with that wealth, for your family, friends, and society.
